Crossroads Care Cheshire East:

Our Mission Statement

"To promote, offer, support and deliver high quality services for carers and people with care needs."

"Giving carers time to be themselves."

Crossroads Care Cheshire East is a registered charity and company limited by guarantee. Our aim is to relieve the stresses experienced by carers whose caring responsibilities may be due to a loved ones disability, illness or age. CCCE provides a range of high quality services including short breaks within the home, a palliative care service, support groups for those with a physical disability, early onset dementia or Aspergers Syndrome and a Young Carers project.   Annual Review

Crossroads Care Cheshire East has been operational for 20 successful years. Our success is due to a clear strategic vision – one of our targets is to introduce at least one new service each year to ensure we are delivering services which make a real difference to carers lives.

Being a carer can be rewarding but can also be a demanding and stressful responsibility. Our goals for the future are to continue to address the challenges faced by carers in their everyday lives and to enable them to have some normality in their lives.

"33% of carers say that they have not had a break from their caring responsibilities in the last two years."

What do carers say about Crossroads Care Cheshire East?
Every year we receive hundreds of letters from people who have used Crossroads services. These are some of their comments about how Crossroads Care Cheshire East has made a difference to their lives.

“Just to say thank you to you all for your support and help …. It has been a rollercoaster 6 months for me and at times very stressful. Keep up your good work with those less fortunate than ourselves.”

“Thank you so much for the help you gave my mother while she was alive. She became very fond of ‘the girls’ as much for their company as for what they did. Their help enabled my sister and I to keep going and we comfort ourselves that she never needed to go into a nursing home, the fate she dreaded more than anything.

“I would like to say a big thank you to all staff concerned at Crossroads. She really enjoyed her day out at Knowsley Safari Park last week. She also enjoys coming to you on her monthly visit to Take-a-Break. She likes going out talking and meeting people and all the activities you do with her. It really helps her and certainly helps us to know she is well cared for and looked after.”

Comments from a Family Support Worker

“I wrote to you recently about some very positive comments I received regarding the work you are doing within your Young Carers Group and the extended support you continue to give a family who contacted me following a visit I made to the group.  I met with the parents of your Young Carer yesterday and they are very grateful for the support you have given their family.  Interestingly, they used almost identical words about how they felt they could not have managed through this period without your support, adding that there was nobody else involved up to me visiting.”
