Take a Break
The Take A Break scheme offers Carers a break from their caring responsibilities whilst providing activities and support in a relaxed and friendly setting for the person they care for.

The Take A Break group celebrate National Carers Week by visiting the Jodrell Bank Observatory and Lovell Radio Telescope.
Crossroads Care delivers two Take A Break support groups in the Cheshire East area:
- Take a Break (TAB) monthly support group for adults with physical disabilities
- Take a Break (TAB) monthly support group for older people
The groups offer the opportunity for time away from routine situations, the chance to make new friends and enjoy social outings. Lunch and refreshments are provided.
The groups meet one Thursday of every month from 11am to 3pm. They are run by a Senior Care Worker and trained Crossroads Care staff. Carers usually leave to pursue their own interests but are very welcome to stay.
Recent group activities have included:
- Pottery painting
- Vegetarian Cookery demonstration
- Outings e.g. picnic at Tatton Park
- Gardening
- Flower arranging
- Trips on the Mary Sunley Barge
- Speakers
